Sun rarely ever blesses these lands with any warmth, only teasing with a few rays, giving the landscape a tantalisingly brief moment relief. Mountains erupt out of the ground and stand like frozen soldiers forming a wall that is almost impossible to climb. The winter storms that herald all year round can be brutal and life taking for those who try to brave them. Few animals are hardy enough to withstand the sheer cold and navigate the blinding white with razor ice.
